400°C Max. 40T Large Hydraulic Laminating Hot Press with Optional 15" or 24" Square Platen - YLJ-HP-L

YLJ-HP-L is a large lamination hot press, which consists of a 40T hydraulic press with two heated platens. The temperatures of the heated platens are controlled by two digital temperature controllers separately up to 400°C. The heated platens are made of stainless steel with optional size at 15"x15" or 24"x24". Water cooling jackets are installed with the heating platen that allows the heated plates to get faster cooling. One pressure gauge (300 kN) is also mounted to monitor the pressure applied on the platen. It is an excellent tool to prepare polymer and ceramic samples.

  • The actual force applied to the Hydraulic Cylinder (Ton) equal to the force applied to your working piece
  • For calculating the actual pressure applied on the working piece, please follow the equations below:
  • P = T/(πr^2) x g x 10
    • P: Pressure (MPa) applied to your working piece
    • T: Force (Ton) applied to the Hydraulic Cylinder 
    • g: Standard gravity. g ≈ 9.8 m/s2
    • π: ~3.14
    • r: Radius (cm) of the working piece

  • Do not raise the bottom cylinder (piston) more than it's maximum traveling distance (80 mm)

Water Cooling Jacket
  • Two water cooling jackets are built on the back of the top and bottom heating plate separately with 1/4" water pipe connectors. Such a configuration allows you to cool the sample as soon as the hot pressing process is completed. 
  • one 16L/minute recirculating water chiller is included for cooling hot platens. (Pic. 1)
  • SS 304 Protection door is included 
  • An electric hydraulic pump can also be applied for automatic pressure control. (Pic below 2)
    However, the pumping time may take 20 minutes
