1500C Five Zone Split Tube Furnace with 84mm O.D Mullite Tube & Flanges - OTF-1500X-5Z

OTF-1500X-5Z  is a  five-zone tube furnace with a mullite tube and SS vacuum flanges which can heat up to 1500°C. Each SiC heating zone is controlled by an independent temperature controller to create various thermal gradients for special processing in material research, such as gradient functional material, high-through phase transition and re-crystallization, etc.

Material:  Mullite Ceramic   Made in the USA
Size:   84 O.D x 73 I.D x 1700mm L 
Heat Zone Length
  • Total heating zone length:  1219 mm (48'')
  • Individual heating zones  12"+ 8"+ 8"+ 8" +12"
  • Constant Temperature Zone length:   700mm +/- 5ºC. ( If set 6 zones at the same temperature, without zone spacer. If you don't need the zone spacer, you shall inform us in advance)
  • Max. Temperature gradient:  100 °C/ cm  with standard zone spacer
  • Note: The thermal gradient can be adjusted by inserting thermal insulations between each heating zone.  Please contact our technical support to learn how
Temperature Controllers
  • Five heating zones channels with independent PID programmable temperature controllers.
  • Up to 30 programmable segments for precise control of heating rate, cooling rate and dwell time in each channel
  • Over-temperature protection and alarm allow for operation without attendant(s).
  • +/- 1 ºC temperature accuracy.
  • 5 pcs S-type thermocouples (one for each zone).
  • RS485 Communications Port to connect Laptop computer to show temperature profile.
Laptop, software & WiFi Control(Optional)
  • Brand new laptop with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2013 (30 days free trial) 
  • Labview Based Temperature Control System (MTS01) enables the user to edit temperature profiles, manage heat-treatment recipe, record and plot data for MTI furnaces.
  • A wireless remote control provides up to 300 meters of operating range.

Application Notes
  • The tube furnaces with mullite tube are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.02 Mpa
  • Never use graphite crucible in the alumina tube.
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Please click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator. 
  • The flow rate for gases should be limited to < 200 SCCM ( or 200ml/min )
  • Vacuum limit definition for all mullite tube furnaces: * Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1300°C
