Horizontal Directed Crystallization (HDC) Tube Furnace, 1100C Max. - OTF-1200X-50-DSL

OTF-1200X-50-DSL is a horizontal sliding 2" tube furnace with variable speed from 1 mm/sec - 100 mm/sec and programmable repeating time. This furnace is designed for directional growth of longer single wall nano carbon tube (SWCT) by a CVD method. It can also be used for horizontally growing low melting point metallic single crystal under vacuum and inert gas as Bagdasarov or HDC method).   The complete system includes 30 segments precision temperature controller, 2" OD x 36"L Quartz tube, and vacuum flanges with 1100°C max. working temperature. 
 

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Double-layer steel structure with dual air cooling fans 
  • One precision bear linear sliding system was installed under the table to drive the tube furnace back forward at variable speed
  • 6" color touch screen speed control can program moving direction, moving speed, and repeating travel time
  • Vacuum flanges and a digital vacuum gauge are installed for immediate use.

  • Temperature Gradient:  Can be created depending on temp. profile and adjust by thermal block 
  • Optional:  you may choose a dual-zone tube furnace at Pic below right at extra cost to create a higher thermal gradient or longer constant temperature zone
  •                        -- two-zone furnace    

Speed Control
  • Precision DC motor drives furnace moving
  • 6" color touch screen controller will
    • setting moving speed from 1 mm/second to 100 mm/second
    • setting travel distance
    • setting travel time to be repeated
  • The lower-speed controlled range is available upon request at extra cost.

Processing Tube
  • High purity fused quartz tube
  • Size:  OD: 2" x  ID: 1.8." x Length: 39" (50mm OD x 46mm ID x 1000mm L)
  • Two foam ceramic blocks are included which must be placed inside tube to avoid heat radiation damaging O-rings

 

Temperature Controller
& Sliding Control
  • 30 programmable segments for precise control of heating rate, cooling rate, and dwell time
  • Temperature Accuracy: +/ - 1°C
  • Built-in over-temperature alarm and protection allows for operation without the attendant
  • Two K-type thermal couples are included. One is built-in a furnace to control furnace temperature, and another is inserted into a tube to monitor the sample's real temperature profile
  • Optional:  
    • The furnace may be operated by PC by installing a control module. Please order a MTS-02 control module at extra cost.    
    • If you order the PC control module together with the furnace, we will install and test it before shipping. We recommend you to order a computer (laptop) from us to avoid software installation problems. For more information please click here
    • Please order a temperature calibrator ( click picture below right) to measure temperature profile and calibrate furnace temperature from time to time to achieve better growth.
