1400 °C Max. Microwave Heated SPS to 100 MPa - WE-SPS-1400

  WE-SPS-1400 is a microwave-heated SPS furnace with up to 1400 °C and 100 MPa Pressure. It is designed to press a 10 - 12.7 mm diameter pellet with a maximum. heating speed of 100oC/ minute.  It is a new tool for pressing ceramic and metallic materials under inert gases and vacuum condition.


SPECIFICATIONS:

Furnace Power 
  • 208 - 240 VAC, 50/60Hz, single phase
  • Water cooling magnet with 2.45 GHz ±25 MHz
  • Microwave power:  2500 kW
Pressure & Pressing Die
  • Precision servo motor to apply load to pressing die up to 2000 Kgf
  • PID control pressure to provide constant pressure with +/- 0.5 Kg accuracy
  • One Si3N4 die with an ID of 12.75 mm is included.  
  • Max.. pressure of graphite die: 100 MPa
  • Graphite and Quartz die is available upon request
Vacuum Chamber
  • The vacuum chamber is made of stainless steel
  • Vacuum Chamber: Ø315 mm × 315 mm (inner dimension)
  • One Ø120 mm quartz observation window. 
  • One KF25 and one KF40 vacuum port are built at the back of the chamber
  • Max. Vacuum level: 10-5 torr
  • Max.. positive pressure: 0.5 bar
  • The vacuum pump is available upon request
Heater
  • SiC foam is  used as a heater
  • Under 1 - 10 torr with Ar gas, plasma will form to enhance sintering
Temperature Control
  • SCR temperature controller
  • S-type thermal couple 
  • Max.. working temperature: 1400 °C
  • Max. Heating Rate:  100 °C/ minute
  • 30-segment programmable temperature controller with +/- 2°C accuracy
  • Touch screen panel to control both temperature and vacuum level, and atmospheric pressure
  • RS-485 port and software are included for PC operation and recording temperature and pressure profile
